history

The district court Spandau originated in 1877 with the coming into force of the Judicature Act . It was subordinate to the Regional Court Berlin II and this to the Berlin Chamber Court . With four judges' positions (as of 1880) it was one of the medium-sized local courts in the district court.

After the Second World War , the judicial organization was reorganized at short notice. The Soviet occupying power set up a district court in every district of Berlin. Accordingly, on June 1, 1945, the Spandau District Court was established . The district of Spandau was also reduced in size. The district courts were later given the designation district court again. At its 12th meeting on September 27, 1945 , the Allied Command decided on the judicial structure of the occupied city. One returned to the traditional division with three instances. Twelve district courts were formed again, including the Spandau district court.

The Falkensee District Court was established in 1946 to cover the part of the Sprengels district court in Spandau that was outside Berlin . This affected the communities of Bötzow with Neu-Bötzow, Dallgow-Döberitz , Elstal , Falkensee , Hennigsdorf , Nieder-Neuendorf , Rohrbeck , Schönwalde , Seeburg and Wansdorf . In addition, Velten and Pinnow came to the Oranienburg District Court , Marwitz to the Kremmen District Court , Pausin to the Nauen District Court and Groß-Glienick to the Potsdam District Court .
