Gabriele Fograscher née Graf, (born May 6, 1957 in Nördlingen ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After completing secondary school in 1974, Gabriele Fograscher completed an apprenticeship as a housekeeping manager, which she completed in 1978 with the state examination. In 1979 she passed her first teaching examination at the State Institute for the Training of Specialized Teachers and, after completing her legal clerkship in 1981, she passed the second teaching examination for the subjects of manual labor and housekeeping . Since 1987 she has worked as an educator in the Nördlingen children's home of the Rummelsberger Anstalten .

Gabriele Fograscher is married and has two children.

Political career

Gabriele Fograscher was chairwoman of the working group of social democratic women and deputy chairwoman of the SPD sub-district Donau-Ries. She is a member of the executive committee of the subdistrict and the SPD district of Swabia .

Since 1996 she has been a member of the district council of the Donau-Ries district .

MPs

In 1994 she was elected to the German Bundestag for the first time . She was a full member of the Committee for Economic Cooperation and Development in the 13th German Bundestag . From the 14th German Bundestag was a full member of the Interior Committee . From November 2005 she was deputy spokeswoman for the internal affairs working group of the SPD parliamentary group and from February 2006 she was the spokesperson for the right-wing extremism working group . From October 2007 she will also be a member of the executive committee of the SPD parliamentary group. In January 2014, her group successfully proposed her to the parliamentary control body . She was also a member of the body pursuant to Article 13 (6) of the Basic Law and of the body pursuant to Article 23c (8) of the Customs Investigation Service Act . and deputy member of the election committee .

Gabriele Fograscher always entered the Bundestag via the Bavarian state list . Your constituency was Donau-Ries . She said she would not run again in the 2017 federal election.

She is a member of the Advisory Board of the Alliance for Democracy and Tolerance .
