Gabriele Marianne Hoffmann (born October 10, 1926 in Leipzig ) is a German, former actress .

Life

After graduating from high school, she took private acting lessons from Else Smitt, Martina Otto and Ludwig Anschütz , and she also received lessons in expressive dance from Mary Wigman . She made her debut in Wurzen in 1947 at the New Theater there as Elisabeth in The Big Number . Later she played at the city theaters of Staßfurt and Zittau as well as at the state theaters of Saxony in Radebeul .

In Staßfurt she played Recha in Nathan the Wise and Eve in Der zerbrochne Krug , in Zittau Thekla in Carl Sternheim's Bürger Schippel and the courtesan in Die Komödie der Errungen , at the Landesbühnen Sachsen Radebeul Viola in Was ihr wollt . She was married to the dramaturge Klaus Eidam in the 1950s and has appeared in several films.
