Gabrijel Smičklas
Gabrijel Smičklas (born March 24, 1783 in Szossicze , † March 14, 1856 in Križevci , Austrian Empire , today Croatia ) was bishop of the Greek Catholic diocese of Križevci .
Life
Gabrijel Smičklas was appointed bishop of the Greek Catholic diocese of Križevci on March 13, 1834 . This appointment was confirmed by Pope Gregory XVI. on June 23, 1834. He was consecrated on September 8, 1834 by Samuil Vulcan , the Romanian Greek Catholic bishop of Oradea Mare (Greater Oradea) .
Bishop Gabrijel Smičklas died on March 14, 1856 at the age of 73.
