Gaby Morlay
Gaby Morlay (born June 8, 1893 in Angers , Maine-et-Loire , † July 6, 1964 in Nice ; actually Blanche Pauline Fumoleau ) was a French film actress .
Life
Gaby Morlay was born in Angers (Maine-et-Loire). Under the stage name "Gaby Morlaix" she first appeared in Paris at the Capucines Theater. She made her first feature film in 1913 with La sandale rouge . At the same time she also did a sketch with the legendary comedian Max Linder . Sacha Guitry and Max Ophüls were among the major directors she shot with . She has also appeared in several films in Italy . Many important acting colleagues played with her, such as Jean Gabin , Charles Boyer , Jean-Louis Barrault , Jean Marais , Erich von Stroheim , Fernandel .
She was married in 1961 to Max Bonnafous , a minister of the Petain regime.
