Gaby Nestler , married love (born February 16, 1967 in Annaberg-Buchholz ) is a former German cross-country skier .
Career
Nestler took part in competitions of the cross-country skiing world cup from 1984 to 1987 . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1985 in Seefeld , she finished 16th over 10 km freestyle. She won bronze with the GDR relay. At the Junior World Championships in 1985 in Täsch she won bronze over 5 km freestyle and with the relay. She achieved her only World Cup victory in January 1986 in Les Saisies over 10 km freestyle. She is the youngest winner of an individual World Cup race. The 1985/86 season she finished in sixth place in the overall World Cup ranking. At the Junior World Championship in 1986 in Lake Placid , she won gold over 15 km. In March 1986 she won gold with the relay at the 1986 GDR Ski Championships . At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1987 in Oberstdorf , she achieved tenth place over 20 km freestyle and fourth place with the relay.
