The Franz Gady GmbH (also "Gady Family") is a company in southern Austria with headquarters in Lebring . With around 280 employees and a turnover of 105 million euros (2016, including Gady Opel GmbH), the company is active in the vehicle trade, agricultural machinery trade and the organization of major events, the so-called "Gady Markets". It also runs a newspaper publisher and an agency. The periodic "Partner Magazin" reaches a quarter of a million readers.
history
The company was founded in 1936 as a bicycle and agricultural machinery dealer by Franz Gady senior. founded. The automobile trade was added in the course of the following years. In 1957 the first workshop with spare parts and a gas station was opened.
In 1958 Franz Gady GmbH was founded by Franz Gady jun. and his brother Gerhard Gady. Together they pushed the vehicle trade and service and expanded the company. In 1960, Gady took over the representation of the BMW brand in Lebring. In 1963 the Massey Ferguson tractor brand was added and the first Gady Market was organized on September 1st. The founding of the partner newspaper publisher in 1971 made Gady also a newspaper publisher. In 1972 the company took over the representation of the Toyota brand .
In 1990 the BMW location in Graz-Liebenau was founded. Gady has also been running the Mini brand since 2001 and regularly organizes the tractor meetings "I'm with you". In 2004 the new BMW hall was opened in Lebring, and in 2009 Philipp Gady took over the management of the company. One year later he initiated the takeover of BMW Graz-Nord and initiated the construction of the body and paint center in Lebring. In 2012, the car brand Opel was also traded with the Salis & Braunstein car dealership . In 2015 the management was expanded by Eugen Roth. Since this year the company has been trading under the name "Gady Family".
In 2018, the ground-breaking ceremony took place for the conversion of the Deutsch Goritz and Gady MINI Graz locations, which opened in 2019. The construction of the 12th location, the new BMW location in Lieboch, began in 2019. This was opened in February 2020.

Gady BMW
Gady has been a BMW dealer since 1960. With the opening of a car dealership in Graz-Liebenau and the takeover of BMW Graz-Nord, Gady became one of the most important BMW dealers in Styria. Gady is one of the few BMW dealers in Styria who represent the i and M model series. Gady BMW is available in Lebring, Graz-Liebenau, Graz-Nord, Lieboch, Fehring and Deutsch Goritz .
Gady MINI
In 2001 Gady also took over the distribution of the Mini brand. The company immediately became a sales partner with the relaunch of the MINI brand. Today Gady MINI is represented at all Gady BMW locations. A Gady MINI location in Graz-Liebenau has been in operation since 2019.
Gady Opel
In 1938 Salis & Braunstein started trading with the German-American car brand. In 2012, the company was merged with Franz Gady GmbH under the sub-brand Gady Opel.

The agricultural machinery trade has been an important branch within Franz Gady GmbH since the company was founded in 1936. Gady Agricultural Machinery represents Massey Ferguson , Steyr , Holder , AMAZONE and Fella .
Gady Market
The Gady Markt in Lebring was founded in 1966 as a small agricultural machinery exhibition and over the years has developed into a Styrian folk festival with tens of thousands of visitors. In March 2016, the 100th market was celebrated in Lebring. The market was also expanded to include the Gady locations in Fehring, Krieglach and Lafnitz. The Gady Market in Lebring takes place twice a year.
