Gagey Mrozeck

Gagey Mrozeck (born January 14, 1953 as Gerhard Mrozeck ) is a German guitarist , songwriter and music producer .

Life

Gagey Mrozeck was initially guitarist in the band 2066 and Then . After their dissolution, he moved with other former members to Kin Ping Meh . With the beat boom of the 1968 Gagey Mrozeck established himself as a fixture in Germany's rock scene. As a live and studio guitarist, he was directly involved in numerous genre-defining productions by Krautrock , Deutschrock , Disco , Soul , Funk and the NDW .

With numerous band and solo projects, including with Herbert Grönemeyer or as a producer for Udo Lindenberg , he has been represented on almost all major labels since the late 1960s . From 1980 to 1990 Gagey, as guitarist, co-producer and songwriter of the Herbert Grönemeyer Band, played a key role in the success of the multi-platinum and gold award-winning albums "Total Egal", "Mixed feelings", "Bochum", "Sprünge", "Ö", "Luxus" and "What must must" are involved. Until 1998 he was a permanent member of Herbert Grönemeyer's tours.

Since 1990 Mrozeck has worked as a producer, composer and consultant for international musical companies as well as film, ballet and stage productions. He is also a consultant and developer for musical instrument manufacturers.

Teaching

Gagey Mrozeck is a lecturer in the Pop Music Design course at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg .
