The Flames are a Mannheim rock 'n' roll - rockabilly - pop band.
history
At the beginning, the band played in the style of The Reverend Horton Heat and Brian Setzer and released the album Slicker in 1999 with the line-up of Oliver Heydenreich ("Revilo"), Stefano and Christian Frisch ("Lee Trasher") . In 2002 the band became known nationwide with the song Everytime , which was used in an Afri-Cola commercial. The single reached number 13 in the German single charts . The occupation at that time was:

- Martin Maurer ( drums )
- Andrés Bertomeu (live drums, vibraphone , keyboard )
- Christian Frisch ( double bass )
Christian Frisch founded his new band Cobra Express in 2007. The band plays a mix of blues, rockabilly , psychobilly, jazz and country in the same style as The Flames. The Flames were guests on the television show TV total in 2002 .
In 2005 the album Strike a Light was released and the singles Green Tambourine and Look at Me Now were released. In the meantime, the main cast consisted of Oliver Heydenreich, Martin Maurer, Andrés Bertomeu and Philip Rehm. The band also performs under the name FlamesDuo: either in pairs with drums and guitar or double bass and guitar. In 2009 the band released their new album Caution: Heat Inside . Musically, the band shifted towards indie pop .
