Gall Morel
Gall Morel (actually Benedikt Morel ; born March 24, 1803 in St. Fiden , † December 16, 1872 in Einsiedeln ) was a religious priest in the Benedictine monastery in Einsiedeln . Professionally, he worked as a teacher and librarian. His merit is the expansion of the existing monastery library by 27,000 books and manuscripts. He gave u. a. also the flowing light of the deity from Mechthild von Magdeburg .
