Passage grave of Linden-Pahlkrug

The passage grave of Linden-Pahlkrug of the Holsteiner Kammer type is located north of the Heide-Pahlen road between the Linden bypass and the first houses of Pahlkrug in Dithmarschen in Schleswig-Holstein . The megalithic complex of the funnel beaker culture (TBK) discovered in 1879 is the last of a series of at least nine complexes that were built here between 3500 and 2800 BC. And have disappeared today. The passage grave is a form of Neolithic megalithic systems, which consists of a chamber and a structurally separated, lateral passage. This form is primarily found in Denmark, Germany and Scandinavia, as well as occasionally in France and the Netherlands.

The owner found a stone dagger, a piece of bronze and a grindstone, which are lost today, and two Bronze Age urns from subsequent burials that are in the Schleswig State Museum. There are no reports of a follow-up examination of the Meldorfer Museum from 1882. At that time, fragments from Stone Age vessels were probably found. What is certain is that the chamber of the passage grave with fully maintained dry stone wall and closed transition was undamaged. The stone surround of the round burial mound was also still there.

The 1980 restoration was preceded by a follow-up examination by the Heider Museum. Some fragments of clay pots were found, as well as remnants of the chamber floor and the footprint of one of the stones of the hillside.
