Passage grave of Naschendorf

The passage grave is a form of Neolithic megalithic systems , which consists of a chamber and a structurally separated, lateral passage. This form is primarily found in Denmark, Germany and Scandinavia, as well as occasionally in France and the Netherlands. The passage grave of Naschendorf is an approximately northwest-southeast oriented megalithic complex with the Sprockhoff no. 311. The complex was built between 3500 and 2800 BC. BC as a large stone grave of the funnel cup culture (TBK).

description

An axially 7.2 m long, 2.4 to 1.7 m wide and 1.6 to 1.4 m high trapezoidal chamber with a laterally off-center, about 3.0 m long corridor is located in the megalithic bed. The 13 bearing stones of the chamber and all five bearing stones of the corridor are in situ . Four of the chamber's five capstones are in place, but both of the corridor's capstones are missing. The chamber of the large stone grave is unusually large. Among the ones excavated by Ewald Schuldt , only the facilities in Jamel , Neu Gaarz and Qualitz are larger. The system has two yokes , two three-point supports and five quarters . The hill is bordered with 50 (one missing) curb stones with an average height of 1.8 m. Four of them stand more or less clearly in front of the border. The floorboard consists of pebbles and annealed flint . The archaeological investigation by Ewald Schuldt in 1967 showed that the facility was used by the bearers of the individual grave culture .

100 m away is the large stone grave devil's oven .
