Whole piece

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Bordeaux letter with both Mauritius ; probably the most valuable whole in the world.

A complete piece is a complete philatelic document, with postage stamps and an envelope, stamp, etc. This includes postcards , envelopes , parcel cards , postal orders or the like with postage or stamp notes.

In philately, a distinction is made between total items and postal stationery : postal stationery has a stamp imprint , but can be provided with additional postage to supplement postage . There are special catalogs for letters and postal stationery for collectors.
