Garrett Serviss (athlete)
Garrett Serviss ( Garrett Putnam Serviss Jr .; January 1881 , † December 31, 1907 in Ithaca , New York ) was an American athlete .
At the 1904 Olympic Games he won silver in the high jump and was fourth in the standing triple jump .
Garrett Serviss first studied at Princeton University and moved to Cornell University in 1901 . His father was the non-fiction author Garrett P. Serviss .
