Garden and Comedy House of the Steingaden Monastery
The garden and comedy house of the Steingaden monastery in Steingaden , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Weilheim-Schongau , was opened in the 16./17. Erected in the 17th century and modified around 1730/40. The building at Prämonstratenser-Straße 10 is a protected monument .
The hipped roof building with a medium risalit formed the eastern end of the convent garden. During the renovation around 1730/40, the two-storey ballroom for concerts, theater and singspiel performances was created. The hall was a Rococo - stucco ceiling decorated.
After secularization in 1803, the building was converted into a three-story residential building.
