He won his professional debut match in the international hotel chain Radisson Blu in the largest city of Scotland, Glasgow, against his compatriot Howard Daley by means of a technical knockout in round 2. On May 23, 2015, he competed against the Hungarian Zoltan Csala for the vacant Intercontinental -Title of the insignificant association IBO and beat it by T.-K.-o. in round four. Cornish now had a flawless record (21-0-0) and boxed against super heavyweight 2012 Olympic champion Anthony Joshua in November of that year . This fight was about the WBC -International- and the vacant Commonwealth title . Cornish had no chance and already lost in the first round to T.-K.-o.
