Commonwealth Boxing Council

The Commonwealth Boxing Council is an intercontinental boxing organization based in Ricarville-du-Val , Normandy , France that organizes official fights and awards the Commonwealth titles in professional boxing . After the four most important world associations ( WBC , WBA , IBF and WBO ), along with some other associations such as the continental ones ( EBU and NABF ), it is currently one of the most notable and recognized organizations in professional boxing (because the numerous small world associations, such as the Example that IBO , IBA , IBU and WBU are too insignificant).

This association used to be called the British Empire ; it was only renamed to its current name in 1954.

The current president is Peter Ngatane from South Africa .
