Ricky Whittle
Richard "Ricky" Whittle (* 31 December 1981 in Oldham , England ) is a British actor , best known for his role as "Calvin Valentine" in the Channel 4 - soap opera Hollyoaks .
In 2014 Whittle played one of the leading roles as "Daniel Zamora" in the US television series Mistresses . From 2014 to 2016 he played the role of "Lincoln" in the science fiction television series The 100 and was again part of the main cast . Since 2017 he has played the lead role of Shadow Moon in the American television series American Gods .
life and career
The son of a Royal Air Force -Militärmitglieds he grew because of the career of his father, Harry, traveling on, with primary residence in Burghfield Common near Reading in the English county of Berkshire .
Whittle began working as a model during his studies and was e.g. B. the face of the Reebok 2000 campaign. This brought him the attention of the casting director of the series Dream Team , in which he played the character Ryan Naysmith. Whittle dropped out of university because of his acting career.
After his role in the BBC One's Holby City , he played Calvin Valentine in the Channel 4 - soap opera Hollyoaks to May 2010, was eventually killed when his character. In January 2008 Whittle took part in a celebrity version of the series The Weakest Link .
In July 2012, Whittle starred as Charles in the second season of Single Ladies . He also played captain George East in Shannon Hale's romantic comedy Austenland , which was shot in 2012. From 2014 to 2016 he played the lead role of Lincoln in the science fiction - series The 100 . In 2017 followed a lead role in the series American Gods , which is based on the book of the same name .
