Gary Holdsworth
Gary Holdsworth ( Gary Alfred Holdsworth; born August 1, 1941 ) is a retired Australian sprinter .
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in 1962 he was fourth over 100 yards and fifth with the 4-by-110-yard relay.
In 1964 he reached the quarter-finals over 200 m at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and the semi- finals in the 4 x 100 meter relay . Over 100 m he was eliminated in the preliminary run.
At the British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston in 1966 , he was sixth over 220 yards and failed over 100 yards in the semifinals. In the 4-by-110-yard relay, he won bronze with the Australian team.
Four times he was Australian champion over 100 yards or over 100 m (1961, 1962, 1966, 1967) and three times over 220 yards (1961, 1963, 1964).
