Gash! ( Japanese. 金色 の ガ ッ シ ュ ベ ル !! , Konjiki no Gash Bell !! ) is a manga series by Makoto Raiku that was published from 2001 to 2008 and was filmed as an anime series in 2003 . It can be assigned to the Shōnen genre and is about a young person who has to fight fights with the help of a friend.

Fourteen-year-old outsider Kiyomaro Takamine ( 高嶺 清 麿 Takamine Kiyomaro ) lives with his mother in Japan. One day his father, who works in England, finds an unconscious boy in a wooded area. This boy, Gash Bell ( ガ ッ シ ュ ・ ベ ル Gasshu Beru ), has lost his memory. Kiyomaro's father sends Gash to Japan, where he is supposed to become Kiyomaro's mentor.

Gash is no ordinary boy, but one of a hundred demons from the underworld who duel every thousand years on earth to determine the next king of the demons. Every demon has its own book, each with its own color, which contains spells that only the keeper of the book can read.

Over time, Kiyomaro and Gash learn more and more about the duels, meet friends and enemies, and learn new spells.

Publications

Konjiki no Gash Bell !! appeared in Japan from 2001 to 2008 in individual chapters in the manga magazine Shōnen Sunday of the Shogakukan publishing house. These individual chapters have also been summarized in 33 edited volumes.

The manga series was published in German from 2003 to 2006 in the Manga Twister magazine published by Egmont Manga and Anime under the title Gash! and was published from 2004 in anthologies. Publication was canceled after seven volumes.

Anime

Toei Animation produced a 150-part anime series for the manga, which was broadcast on Sunday morning from April 6, 2003 to March 26, 2006 on Fuji TV and the network's affiliated TV channels. In addition, due to the great success of the cartoon and manga series, two movies were made:
