Gaston Arman de Caillavet
Mathurin Cyprien Auguste Gaston Arman de Caillavet (born March 13, 1870 in Paris , † January 13, 1915 in Saint-Médard-d'Excideuil ) was a French playwright and librettist .
Life
The son of Léontine Lippmann , who ran a major Parisian literary salon and became known as the muse of Anatole France , began his literary career as director of a small revue theater on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower . After 1900 he worked as a co-author of Robert de Flers , with whom he wrote numerous librettos, comedies and vaudevilles . Several of her plays have also been filmed. He was close friends with Marcel Proust .
