Gayatri Devi
Gayatri Devi (born May 23, 1919 in London , † July 29, 2009 in Jaipur , Rajasthan ) was Maharani of Jaipur .

Her parents were Maharaja Jitendra Narayan of Cooch Behar and Maharani Indira Raje, daughter of the Maharajas of Baroda . Gayatri's father died when she was three years old.
She married the Maharaja of Jaipur, Man Singh II. On May 9, 1940 and became his third wife. Gayatri was one of the most beautiful women in the world in her day; In her youth, the fashion magazine Vogue named her one of the ten most beautiful women in the world. After the dissolution of the princely state , she was elected as a member of the Swatantra Party in the Indian parliament of the third, fourth and fifth Lok Sabha . She was the author of the books A Princess Remembers and A Government's Gateway .
