Gazosa is an Italian pop rock band from Rome .

Band history

The group was formed in the late 1990s as Eta Beta , consisting of the youngsters Jessica Morlacchi, Valentina Paciotti, Federico Paciotti and Vincenzo Siani. After changing the name to Zeta Beta , the definitive name Gazosa was ended up . She was discovered by Caterina Caselli and signed to her label Sugar . 2000, the band's debut album was released, with cover versions and new songs entirely in English. With the song Stai con me (Forever) Gazosa was able to enter the race in the newcomer category at the 2001 Sanremo Festival and win, with which the band members also set the record for the youngest winners to date.

After the Sanremo success, the band was able to increase their popularity with the summer hit www.mipiacitu , which was also used in an advertising campaign. At the same time the album of the same name was released. Gazosa took part in the festival bar competition and was able to contribute the Italian version of the title song to the soundtrack of the Disney film Atlantis - The Secret of the Lost City . In 2002 , the band returned to the Sanremo Festival with Ogni giorno di più , where they - now in the main category - reached tenth place. The third album, Inseparabili, was then released . After the band presented a cover of the Caterina Caselli hit Nessuno mi può giudicare in 2003 , they broke up in the same year.

Jessica Morlacchi later attempted a solo career, as did Federico Paciotti. Vincenzo Siani, on the other hand, revived Gazosa in changing compositions from 2009 onwards.
