Omogbolahan Gregory "Gboly" Ariyibi (born January 18, 1995 in Arlington , USA ) is an American football player who is currently under contract with the Greek first division club Panetolikos .

Leeds United and Chesterfield FC
The US-born Gboly Ariyibi went through the youth academy of Southampton FC , but could not recommend himself for a professional contract and therefore left the club in the summer of 2013. On December 13, 2013, the 18-year-old signed a contract with Leeds United until the end of the season . In late December 2013 he made his debut for his new team in a 2-1 defeat at Nottingham Forest . After another use in the Football League Championship 2013/14 , he moved on March 25, 2014 on loan until the end of the season to the third division team Tranmere Rovers , for whom he played two more league games by the end of the season.
After he did not receive a new contract in Leeds in the summer of 2014, Ariyibi signed on August 29, 2014 a contract with third division promoted Chesterfield FC . In Football League One 2014/15 he played seventeen league games for the table sixth and scored one goal. In the following season , the winger established himself as a regular with his team, which ended the season in the lower third of the table.
Nottingham Forest
On January 31, 2017, the second division Nottingham Forest announced the commitment of the 22-year-old and provided him with a contract valid until 2020. Until the summer he did not play a competitive game here and so it was decided to lend him.
In the summer of 2017 he was loaned to third division Milton Keynes Dons and came here in the first half of the EFL League One 2017/18 to 22 games with 3 goals scored. After the early end of the loan in the 2017/18 winter break, it was loaned out again to third division Northampton Town for six months . A year later it was awarded to Motherwell FC .
Change to Greece
In September 2019, Ariyibi moved to Greece to join Panetolikos .
