Gediminids

The Gediminids were a dynasty in the Grand Duchy of Lithuania . It was founded by Gediminas (1275-1341), who let Lithuania rise to a great power.

The descendants of Jogaila form a branch of the Gediminids as Jagiellonians . Other noble families that can be traced back to the Gediminids as lines in the male line are the Czartoryski , Galitzin , Kurakin , Olelkowicz Słucki , Sanguszko and Trubezkoi .
