action

When the tourist Frank Fleischer travels to Cape Town by ship to visit friends on their farm, strangers hide a small package in his luggage. Little does Fleischer suspect that this is a valuable microfilm that contains the construction plans for an indestructible car tire. This microfilm, which was also accompanied by a few drugs for camouflage, immediately aroused the desires of the competition, above all of a gang headed by a man whom everyone only calls "Professor". Suddenly Frank becomes the unknowingly hunted, because the "professor" and his representative Ventura want to convert this invention of a colleague of the professor into good money for their own benefit and prosperity. Now, however, the “professor” is facing competition from criminals who are even tougher and who are not exactly squeamish when it comes to the hunt for microfiche. There is a clue about the hiding place where the valuable records are located, and it falls into the hands of a gang of criminals of all people. Since you now know that the "professor" has no clean slate, you try to blackmail him with it.

Meanwhile, Ventura Fleischer is on the trail. While he is watching a folklore performance with the blond farmer's daughter who is fond of him, Ventura's people try, albeit in vain, to get hold of the film. Frank Fleischer has long since found the parcel himself and delivers it to the police. Their boss, Commissioner Wilke, now has his hands full to ensure Fleischer's safety, because he is ready to make himself available to the police as a decoy to lure the numerous crooks into a trap. After some back and forth, some of the crooks can be arrested. In fact, however, the microfilm does not contain the construction plans themselves, only the details of the location where they were hidden. When Frank and Veronika go diving on the beach, they finally find the stretch of coast where the plans were hidden according to the microfilm map. Fleischer is able to track down a box in a boat wreck, but the remainder of the “professor” Mannen and Ventura bring the box to themselves. However, Wilke is there in time to save Frank and his new girlfriend. Now only the "professor" is on the run and the hunt for him begins.

The premiere of this film, which has almost the same content and almost all of the original cast of the 1961 film, took place on July 27, 1962 in Italy; the German premiere was on October 12, 1962. Reviews

Paimann's film lists summed up: "A story, for the threadbare nature of which partly compensates for the geography offered by the offered (Johannesburg, Durban, Kruger National Park), while there is little boost from the acting."

“Opium and diamonds are starting a wild crime hunt through South Africa. Mixture of adventure and cultural films with partly beautiful folk pictures. Social realities are not taken into account. "

“A young German is involved in a case of industrial espionage. Simple-minded average thriller located in South Africa (Cape Town, Johannesburg, Kruger National Park, picturesque coast). "
