The Geiseltalsee is a passenger ship that has been used as a tourist attraction on the Geiseltalsee since June 2019 .

history

The ship was built in 1986 at the Schmidt shipyard in Oberwinter as Luna for the Lüneburg shipping company Anker, which used it for trips on the Ilmenau from Lüneburg to the Elbe . In 1992 it was sold to the Trawöger shipping company and transported to the Traunsee . In 2006 the shipping company Eder took over the ship.

Since the ship is not handicapped accessible and a conversion would have been too costly, the shipping company Eder sold the ship to the Merseburg company ARS Betriebservice, which has been using it for tours according to a fixed timetable and for charter trips on the Geiseltalsee since June 1, 2019 .

description

The ship is powered by a Mercedes diesel engine with 230 hp power driven. The engine acts on a propeller .

The ship's steering position is in the forward area of the ship. Behind it is the closed saloon with seating for the passengers. Further seating has been set up on the open upper deck .
