Franz Wirtz

Franz Wirtz (born December 18, 1915 in Düsseldorf , † 1995 in Detmold ) was a German dramaturge , director and set designer .

Life

Born in Düsseldorf in North Rhine-Westphalia , Wirtz grew up in Duisburg and obtained his school- leaving certificate in Berlin in 1935 , where he then studied German, theater and music studies until 1941. From 1945 onwards, Wirtz worked at the Detmold State Theater, where he worked as a set designer, director, dramaturge and, for a short time, as artistic director.
