backgrounds

According to the main actor Kai Maertens , there were disputes between RTL and Endemol after completion. RTL was dissatisfied with the quality and did not initially want to broadcast the series. According to Maertens, the series' pilot film had over 3 million viewers and a market share of around 16%.

The broadcast started on January 6, 2000 and was canceled after the eighth episode Die Rattenkönigin by RTL. In 2009 the series was released on DVD . In 2011, all nine episodes ran on RTL Crime .

The four episodes: The Rat Queen, Death Carousel, Angels Tomb and Witches Club were directed by Daniel Anderson . In three episodes: The Grim Reaper as a wedding guest, Call from the afterlife, The Horror Cabinet was directed by Robert Sigl . The pilot was directed by John van de Rest and the episode Der Gerechte Bernd Fiedler (cameraman) .

“Wooden dialogues, amateur effects and images similar to the comic template could make“ Sinclair ”a trashy cult for boozy ghost parties. Laughing horror hour with a high trash factor "
