Ardino ( Bulgarian Ардино , Turkish Eğridere ) is a city in southern Bulgaria , in the Rhodope Mountains . The city is located in Kardzhali Oblast , near the city of Madan . Ardino is very well known in Bulgaria because of the textile industry. The city also has a mechanical engineering factory and a tobacco factory.
Nearby there is a natural phenomenon of the Eagle Rocks and the Djawolski most (Devil's Bridge), which tourists visit again and again. This area is located around 10 km from the city. The city has a population of around 3,500, including many minorities, the largest minority being the Turks .
