The municipal administration association Fronreute-Wolpertswende , based in Wolpertswende, comprises the municipalities of Fronreute (main places: Fronhofen, Blitzenreute, Staig) and Wolpertswende (main places: Wolpertswende and Mochenwangen).
The member communities belong to the Ravensburg district in Upper Swabia and are located in the west of the central Schussental valley and on the hills that adjoin the valley to the west.
The municipal administration association began its activity on January 1, 1978, after Fronreute and Wolpertswende had left the municipal administration association in Mittleres Schussental .
The association has its seat in the town hall in Wolpertswende.
