The Evangelical Methodist community center Kreuzkirche is located at Zietenstrasse 11 in the Berlin district of Lankwitz in what is now the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district .

history

From 2007 to 2010, a building complex was converted from a former roofing shop and expanded. The front office building will be converted, renovated and moved into within a few months of 2007 . The building at Kaiser-Wilhelm-Strasse 29 was abandoned because it was too small. The last worship there were in August 2010. On 10 September 2010, the hit congregation for the first time in the new worship hall, which has arisen from the storage room of the former roofing. The inauguration took place on October 3rd with a service.

Building description

The building complex consists of several structures . The two-storey eaves-standing wing facing the street is covered with a flat roof. A hall church was built into the depth of the property , also provided with a flat roof and a skylight . Opposite the altar area is a gallery . There are also 2 other structures. The rear one has a gable roof , the front one a flat roof.

Furnishing

The organ built by Karl Lötzerich in 1975 for the Friedenskirche in Charlottenburg has stood in the back left corner since 1981 . The old organ from Kaiser-Wilhelm-Straße, built in 1970 by the company EF Walcker & Cie , was sold to the Friedenskirche in Friedenau in 1981 .
