Community of working Christians for a new Jerusalem

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The community of working Christians for a new Jerusalem is a community of faith and life that has been based at the Zachhiesenhof in Huttich near Salzburg since 2001 . A total of about 50 people live there. Since 2005 it has been organized in the registered association, Association of Working Christians - Association for the Support of People in Need; The chairman is Josef Öschlberger.

Principles

The community claims to live according to basic Christian principles without belonging to a specific religious group. Above all, it is about practical Christian action by doing good. The members of the community put personal wealth and income in one pot. Texts from the book Das Jesus-Evangelium by Günther Schwarz and Jörn Schwarz were part of life on the farm until at least 2013.

A representative of the Department for Weltanschauung questions of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Salzburg stated that the “community of working Christians” was structured hierarchically and referred to the revelations of Jakob Lorber , the doctrine of karma and the doctrine of healing by Paracelsus . In 2003, the then Salzburg Vicar General Johann Reissmeier refused to allow members of the "working Christians" to join the Catholic Church because their faith was not compatible with the teaching of the Catholic Church.

According to the findings of the Federal Office for Sectarian Issues of the Federal Ministry for Health, Family and Youth, the spiritual leader of the community is Martin Krebs, co-author of the 2004 book Jesuskraft. A gift for spiritual development and attainment of spiritual maturity . In the book, Krebs describes himself as a "life coach and spiritual therapist". Relatives and former members of the "working Christians" reported to the federal agency and the ORF that he was using so-called "announcements" that his partner Martina Krebs (formerly Öschlberger, formerly Lassacher) allegedly received directly from Jesus , the guidelines for living together. Those who do not meet the expectations are ascribed an occupation with demons . In the book Jesuskraft Öschlberger had claimed that he had been receiving "announcements" from Jesus since the year 2000.

Seminars

ISE Verlag und Seminare eU , based at Zachhiesenhof, offers public seminars that also serve to recruit new community members. Topics such as the apocalypse , kinesiology , "There is power in language" and the "divine healing of your finances" were and are dealt with . The publisher is owned by Andrea Gfrerer; The team also includes Martin and Martina Krebs and Hannes Maier, director of the vineyard school .

Agriculture

Members of the community manage the Zachhiesenhof . According to a chronicle compiled by Seekirchen's citizens, the homestead already existed in the 15th century . It got its name from the owner Zacharias Goiginger between 1608 and 1664. From 1917 to 1918 the farm is said to have belonged to the Austro-Hungarian monarchy and served as a camp for Russian prisoners. It has been owned by the Öschlberger family since 1951.

The farm is currently run by Thomas Öschlberger and is run as an arche farm where endangered species are bred. Some of the products generated are passed on to other social initiatives.

Boarding school vineyard school

A kindergarten and the educationalWeinbergschule ” were also operated on the site of the Zachhiesenhof . The Weinbergschule was sponsored by the Association for the Promotion of Alternative Educational Paths , founded in 2002 ; School director and club chairman was Hannes Maier. The vineyard school held public rights from 2006 to 2019 . for the 1st to 9th grade and was financed almost exclusively by the members of the community or the parents, who mostly lived in the Zachhiesenhof themselves. Montessori pedagogy was used in the primary level and controversial methods of the Schetinin School , a Russian boarding school in Tekos in the Krasnodar region, in the secondary level .

Since the school was founded in 2005 until the official closure on May 17, 2019, there have been several public controversies about life at Zachhiesenhof and the school concept. A report broadcast by ORF in November 2017 , in which massive criticism was expressed by the responsible authorities as well as former community members and relatives, fueled the discussion. Among other things, the operator was accused of having an esoteric and inadequate concept, isolating children from the outside world and, in individual cases, demonizing children. The responsible ministry initiated an examination of whether the school's public rights should be withdrawn. The school dismissed the allegations as "defamatory" in a statement posted on its website . It is an attempt to ruin the reputation of holistic educational institutions.
