Johann Reissmeier
Johann J. Reissmeier (born March 13, 1959 in Deggendorf , Bavaria) is a German Roman Catholic priest , archbishop official and cathedral curator at Salzburg Cathedral . He was Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Salzburg .
Life
After graduating from the late vocational high school Fockenfeld the Oblates of St. Francis studied tear Meier from 1980 theology at the University of Salzburg . On October 20, 1985, he made his Eternal Pledge of Loyalty to the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Precious Blood . After being ordained a deacon on March 1 and ordained a priest on July 1, 1986 in Salzburg, he became a cooperator in Parsch and a judge at the diocesan and metropolitan court of the archdiocese of Salzburg. On May 18, 1989, he received his doctorate in theology with the topic The Development of Proper Law of the Congregation of Missionaries of the Precious Blood. A legal historical investigation into the constitution of a society of apostolic life. In August 1989 he was released from the parish provisional in Siezenheim and his obligations to his order. In 1991 he got a teaching position at the theological faculty of the University of Salzburg, was incardinated in the Archbishopric of Salzburg and spiritual at the College Borromaeum Salzburg for two years . In 1999, Georg Eder appointed him Vicar General of the Archdiocese of Salzburg and thus the successor to Hans Paarhammer . The new Archbishop Alois Kothgasser confirmed him in 2003 as Vicar General, until he was replaced by Hansjörg Hofer in 2006 . In 2005 he was accepted into the Sovereign Order of Malta . In 2006 he became Episcopal Vicar for the universal Church, for permanent deacons and for vocational ministry. From September 2006 to May 2011 he was entrusted with the establishment and management of the ombudsman for sexual abuse. In 2011 he obtained his doctorate in canon law (Lic. Iur. Can) at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich . Since October 31, 2014 he has been the archbishop's official and since March 2014 a member of the economic committee of the Salzburg cathedral chapter , of which he became cathedral curator on October 28, 2016.
He is also a fire brigade curate and a long-standing active member of the volunteer fire brigade in Siezenheim .
