Genādijs Soloņicins (born January 3, 1980 in Liepāja ) is a former Latvian football player who played in his career almost exclusively at FK Liepājas Metalurgs .

Career

Genādijs Soloņicins began his career in youth at FK Liepājas Metalurgs . There he came from the 1997 season in the professional team for regular periods. As a regular player Soloņicins was able to win the championship with Metalurgs for the first time in the 2005 season, with 13 goals in 28 games he played, he had a large share in the first championship title in club history. A year later he won the Cup against Skonto Riga , one season later he won the Baltic League in the all-Latvian final against FK Ventspils . In the final, which was decided in the return leg, Soloicins was able to score one goal each. In the summer of 2009 Soloņicins moved to the PFK Simurq Zaqatala from Azerbaijan, but came back to the home club in Latvia in February 2010. He ended his career in January 2014.

National team

Jevgēņijs Kosmačovs first played in the Latvian national team in 2000 . With the selection of his home country, he took part in the Baltic Cup three times and was able to win it in 2008 .
