Genadi Plamenow Petrow ( Bulgarian Генади Пламенов Петров ; born November 16, 1981 in Sofia ) is a former Bulgarian - Portuguese football player and now coach .

Career

As a player

Petrov moved to Austria for the 1999/2000 season for second division club SV Braunau , which he left again in November 1999 without being used. From the 2002/03 season he played in Portugal for Imortal DC . For the 2004/05 season he moved to FC Ferreiras .

In January 2007 he moved to Austria for a second time, where he joined the fifth class ATSV Stadl-Paura . By the end of the season he came to eleven missions for the Upper Austrians in the regional league , in which he scored eight goals, but at the end of the season he rose with the club in the district league . In this he came to 26 missions in the 2007/08 season, in which he scored 24 goals. In the 2008/09 season he got 27 goals in 26 games, but with the club he just missed promotion as runner-up. In the 2009/10 season he was used in 23 games in the sixth highest division and scored 34 goals, but when he was third, he again just missed promotion with Stadl-Paura. In the 2010/11 season you could finally become champions of the district league south and rose again to the national league, Petrow contributed 21 hits in 21 games to the championship title. In the fifth highest division, he came to 25 appearances in the 2011/12 season, in which he made 21 goals.

After 132 games for Stadl-Paura, in which he scored 135 goals, he left the club after the 2011/12 season and moved to the seventh-class Union Gunskirchen . For Gunskirchen he came to 26 appearances in 1st class , in which he scored 29 goals. For the 2013/14 season he returned to Stadl-Paura. With Stadl-Paura he was promoted to the Upper Austrian League as champion of the Landesliga West at the end of the season . Petrov he came the first season after his return to 21 missions, in which he scored nine goals.

After eleven more appearances in the fourth-highest division, he moved to fifth-rate FC Andorf during the winter break of the 2014/15 season , where he was also a coach in addition to his work as a player. Taken as the bottom of the table, Petrow Andorf safely managed to stay in the league with 10th place and contributed eleven goals in 13 appearances. The 2015/16 season ended with the club in seventh place, Petrow used himself in 19 games and scored 16 goals. After the 2015/16 season, he left the fifth division.

He then returned to Stadl-Paura for the 2016/17 season, where he became player-coach for the sixth-class second team. In March 2017, he also made his debut for the now re-promoted first team in the third-class regional league when he came on for Mario Petter in the 88th minute against SC Weiz . This remains his only regional league assignment as a player. With the second team he finished fifth in the table, he also sat himself in seven games and scored two goals.

For the 2017/18 season he switched to the sixth-class SV Krenglbach as a player- coach . In November 2017, Krenglbach separated from Petrow. For Krenglbach he came to five missions in the district league before the separation.

After a six-month break while working at Urfahr, he switched to eight-class SV Zell / Pettenfirst for the 2018/19 season , for which he played six games in second class and scored five goals. During the winter break he left Zell again, this was his last stop as an active person.

As a trainer

After three positions as player- coach , Petrow switched to eight-class SV Urfahr during the winter break of the 2017/18 season , where he concentrated exclusively on coaching. He finished the season with the Linzers in eleventh place in the table in the 2nd class middle . After the 2017/18 season he left Urfahr again.

In November 2018 he became the coach of the fifth-class SC Melk in Lower Austria . He led Melk to seventh place in the table in the 2nd State League West . For the 2019/20 season, in addition to his work at Melk, he also became the head coach of the eight-class SV Spitz / Donau . In October 2019, Melk separated from Petrov. In December 2019, in addition to his work at Spitz, he also became the coach of the women's Bundesliga club SV Horn .

In June 2020, he also took over the second-rate first team of the von Horn men on an interim basis as the successor to Hans Kleer . For the 2020/21 season he became assistant coach of his successor Alexander Borodjuk .

Petrov was born in Sofia, Bulgaria, but moved to Portugal as a child and grew up there.
