Genevieve Sabourin (born March 11, 1972 ) is a Canadian actress .

Life

Genevieve Sabourin is a Montreal , Québec- born actress who, apart from a few commercials and advertisements, only played supporting roles in smaller films such as Swindle and Eternal . In the film Pluto Nash - In the fight against the moon mafia played and produced by Eddie Murphy , she was active as a press officer in 2002.

She gained greater international fame when actor Alec Baldwin reported her on April 9, 2012 for stalking . This was preceded by several text messages , emails, and unwanted visits by Sabourin to Baldwin's residence. After the two met in the fall of 2010, Baldwin has been contacted with dozens of messages since late March demanding Sabourin leave his fiancée and marry her. She visited his home in the Hamptons on March 31, 2012 and was arrested, questioned and released for the first time by police. This was followed by a visit to New York's Lincoln Center , where Baldwin gave a speech. After standing in front of the front door of the Eldorado , where Baldwin owns an apartment, on April 8, she was arrested and charged with stalking a day later. The judge in charge set the trial date to May 14, 2012, released Sabourin without bail and issued a restraining order not to approach Baldwin. On November 14, 2013, Sabourin was found guilty on a total of five charges and sentenced to 210 days in prison. The judge imposed a partial sentence of 30 days on Sabourin because she repeatedly disrupted the process and thus did not show the court the due respect.
