Genoel from Lilienstern
Genoël von Lilienstern (* 1979 in Monschau , actually Genoël Rühle von Lilienstern ) is a German composer .
Life
Lilienstern completed his composition studies in Bremen , The Hague and Berlin with Younghi Pagh-Paan , Clarence Barlow and Hanspeter Kyburz , among others . He also took part in master classes with Georges Aperghis , Douglas Repetto, Brian Eno and Péter Eötvös . He continued to study at the Ensemble Modern Academy in Frankfurt and is a Fellow of the Graduate School of the Berlin University of the Arts.
His works have been performed by the Ensemble intercontemporain , the SWR Orchestra, the Stuttgart Vocalsolisten and Ensemble Modern , among others . In 2013 he was a guest lecturer at the Center for Computer Research in Music and Acoustics (CCRMA) at Stanford University . Since 2014 he has been teaching sound design at the UdK, Berlin.
Lilienstern lives as a freelance composer in Berlin.
