Genséric Kusunga (born March 12, 1988 in Geneva ) is an Angolan - Swiss football player . The defensive player is currently under contract with the Portuguese second division club CD Cova da Piedade .

Kusunga played in his youth for Servette FC Genève and until 2010 also in their senior team. Then he moved to the top club FC Basel on a free transfer . In the following season he won the championship there and got the double a year later. He spent the 2012/13 season on loan at Servette FC Genève and then moved permanently to Oldham Athletic in England . This was followed by further positions at União Madeira and FC Dundee . He has been under contract with CD Cova da Piedade since December 2019 .

National team

From 2014 to 2017 he played 14 games for the Angolan senior team . Almost five years earlier he also played twice for the Swiss U-21s .
