GeoNetwork opensource is a metadata information system - software for geospatial data . It is characterized by conformity to standards ISO / TC211 and the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) and implements the Web Catalog Service (CSW) 2.0.2. As a project of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation , the program is free software .

use
The software is used as a search service by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and, since 2009, in the Swiss National Spatial Data Infrastructure (GDI-CH).
