Geoffrey Didace Lembet (born September 23, 1988 in Villeneuve-Saint-Georges ) is a Central African - French football goalkeeper .
Club career
Lembet moved in 2007 at the age of 18 from a club near the French capital Paris to the professional club CS Sedan . In this case, the player of Central African descent was included in the first team in the summer of 2009, but was initially not used. For this he managed to make his second division debut shortly before his 23rd birthday when he replaced goalkeeper Ulrich Ramé in the 57th minute of a game against Le Havre AC on September 16, 2011 . In the 3-0 victory, he remained clean. During the season he was in goal six more times, but then had to be content with the role of reservist again. In 2013 he had to accept the forced relegation of Sedan to the fifth division, which lapsed his contract. At first he did not receive a professional contract with another club, but was then able to find a new employer in December 2013 in the second division AJ Auxerre . He was then designated as a substitute goalkeeper before he was able to oust the previous first goalkeeper Donovan Léon from his post in the second half of the 2014/15 season . The following summer, however , Auxerre signed Zacharie Boucher, a new keeper who ousted Lembet from this role again.
National team
At a time when Lembet was in the professional squad of CS Sedan, but still had to wait for appearances in the first team, he was appointed to the national team of the Central African Republic for the first time in 2010 , for which he is eligible to play thanks to his descent from this country. The goalkeeper played his first game in his home country's shirt when he was on the field on September 4, 2010 in a 0-0 draw against Morocco . In his second encounter the following month, he again failed to concede a goal thanks to a 2-0 win against Algeria , but despite that success he missed qualifying for the 2012 African Cup of Nations , which had the goal of both games. Since then, he has been regularly considered for the team and has participated in various qualifying games in particular.
