Donovan Léon (born November 3, 1992 in Cayenne , French Guiana ) is a French football player .

Career

Léon started his football career in the spring of 1999 in his home country for the Club Sportif et Culturel de Cayenne. In 2007 he left French Guiana and tried his luck in football on the French mainland, where he signed a contract with CSF Brétigny in the summer of the same year.

After he developed into a high performer in two years at CSF Bretigny, he was scouted by AJ Auxerre . In spring 2010 he made the jump from youth to the third team and made his debut for this on May 29, 2010 against FC Thionville . His debut for the reserve team of the AJ Auxerre followed on November 27, 2010 against CS Louhans-Cuiseaux .

In the summer of 2011, Léon was pulled up by Laurent Fournier in the professional team and made his professional debut for the AJ Auxerre on August 6, 2011 against the eventual champions HSC Montpellier .
