Georg Abraham Mercklin
Georg Abraham Mercklin , Latinized Georgius Abrahamus Mercklinus , (born November 19, 1644 in Weißenburg in Bavaria , † April 19, 1702 in Nuremberg ) was a Nuremberg doctor .
Life
G. Abraham Mercklin was born in the imperial city of Weißenburg in 1644 as the son of the physician Georg Abraham Mercklin (1613–1683 / 84). He studied medicine at the Universities of Altdorf and Wittenberg and qualified as a doctor in Nuremberg from 1670 , where he lived until his death. Mercklin wrote several medical papers.
On September 25, 1676 he was elected a member of the Leopoldina with the surname Chiron I ( matriculation no. 66 ) .
Mercklin was of the Lutheran faith . He died in Nuremberg at the age of 57.
