Georg Albrecht von Brandenburg (born November 20, 1591 in Berlin , † November 29, 1615 in Sonnenburg ) was Georg Albrecht II. Margrave of Brandenburg.

Life

Georg Albrecht, from the House of Hohenzollern , was a son of the Brandenburg Elector Johann Georg (1525–1598) from his third marriage to Elisabeth (1563–1607), daughter of Prince Joachim Ernst von Anhalt .

He succeeded his older brother Friedrich in 1614 as master master of the Order of St. John in the Brandenburg Ballei, based in Sonnenburg. After a settlement with Kurbrandenburg it was enfeoffed by Duke Philipp Julius of Pomerania and in 1615 confirmed the rights of the order town of Zielenzig .

Georg Albrecht died of smallpox at the age of 24 and was buried in the parish church of Küstrin . His motto was “ My actions and my life are devoted to God. "
