Georg Amann (theologian)
Georg Amann (born April 24, 1780 in Deggendorf ; † October 10, 1831 in Munich ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian .
Life
From 1801 he studied theology at the University of Landshut , where he received the Dr. theol. (with distinction). After being ordained a priest on June 1, 1805 in Regensburg , he was tutor in Herzogenaurach and Landshut from 1805 to 1812 . In 1826 he became an associate professor for dogmatics and moral theology at the LMU Munich . In 1827 he became a full professor of moral theology at the LMU Munich . From 1828 to 1829 he was Dean of the Catholic Theological Faculty.
