Georg Boehme

Georg Böhme (born March 16, 1926 in Hildesheim ; † July 1, 2016 there ) was a German administrative officer and politician ( CDU ).

Life

After attending elementary and middle school, Böhme completed an administration apprenticeship and then worked briefly as a government inspector candidate in the Prussian civil service. He was drafted into the Wehrmacht in 1944 and took part in the Second World War as a soldier . At the end of the war he was taken prisoner by the United States, from which he was released in 1945.

After 1945, Böhme initially worked in the building trade. In 1954 he joined the state service in Lower Saxony as a government inspector. In addition, he went on study trips to other European countries, the United States and Israel .

In 1944 Georg Böhme joined the NSDAP ( membership number 9.883.487). Böhme, who had previously worked in the Association of German Catholic Youth (BDKJ), joined the CDU in 1951. At the same time he joined the Junge Union (JU) and had been chairman of the Hildesheim JU district association since 1953 . In 1958 he was elected deputy state chairman of the JU Hannover .

Böhme was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1965 . He was drawn into parliament via the Lower Saxony state list.
