Georg Behrmann (poet)
Friedrich Georg Behrmann (born February 12, 1704 in Hamburg ; † November 12, 1756 there ) was a German businessman and playwright .
Live and act
Georg Behrmann graduated from the Johanneum School of Academics and then worked as a merchant in his hometown. In 1735 he took over the management of the post office that went to Amsterdam . Behrmann wrote two dramas. The works in Alexandrians are reminiscent of the writings of Pierre Corneille . Caroline Neuber , supported by Behrmann, performed the plays. Meta Moller played the role of Camilla in a private performance, which appears in Behrmann's Horatiern .
In 1749 Behrmann was made an honorary member of the German Society of Göttingen .
