Georg Broeckel

Georg Broeckel (born March 4, 1748 in Hanover , † September 20, 1788 in Kiel ) was a German law scholar and university professor.

Life

Broeckel studied law at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen from Easter 1766 to Michaelis 1770 , where he also received his doctorate in 1770. jur. received his doctorate and worked as a private lecturer. In 1772 he was offered a chair at the University of Kiel , where he worked as a full professor until the end of his life. Broeckel died during his time as Vice Rector of Kiel University.

He was married to Catharina Elisabeth geb. Schmidt. His son was the lawyer Christoph Friedrich Hans Broekel (1779–1823), father of Johanna Antonie Broekel , father-in-law of Carl Peter Matthias Lüdemann and grandfather of Louis von Kamphövener .
