Georg Crezelius
Georg Crezelius (born April 11, 1948 in Dortmund ) is a German lawyer , tax lawyer and former university professor.
Life
Crezelius studied law at the University of Münster and passed the first state examination in 1973 , followed by a legal clerkship until 1976 , which was completed with the second state examination. The doctorate took place in 1978 in the field of inheritance tax law and civil law , the habilitation in 1982 on the subject of "Tax Law Application and General Legal System".
Crezelius was initially at the University of Mainz from 1983 and then moved to the University of Bamberg in 1985 . There he held the chair for tax law until 2013 . He is chairman of the scientific advisory board of the German tax consultant institute and was a member of the corporate tax reform commission of the federal government in 1990. a. inheritance tax law. Crezelius has emerged with around 400 publications.
Until March 6, 2007 Crezelius was a member of the supervisory board of HCI Capital AG , Hamburg , and from 2009 to 2012 a member of the board of directors of Bayerische Landesbank . Since summer 2013 he has been working as " of counsel " at the British law firm Linklaters .
