Georg Ehni

Johann Georg Ehni (born August 7, 1828 in Bissingen an der Teck , † January 24, 1904 in Stuttgart ) was a businessman and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Ehni attended elementary and secondary school and spent 13 years in North and South America. He was a member of the Stuttgart Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the civic colleges. He was also a judge at the world exhibitions in Paris in 1867 and Vienna in 1873, as well as a representative of the precious metal industry in Philadelphia in 1876 .

He was also a well-known art collector. He bought u. a. part of the estate of King Ludwig II of Bavaria , which he also presented in exhibitions.

From 1893 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 5 ( Esslingen , Nürtingen , Kirchheim , Urach ) and the German People's Party .
